The Incredible Years Basic Parent Programme graduation took place on the 30th of March in BRYR Ballymun. Fifteen participants graduated from the programme. There were eleven mums, three dads, and one grandmother. The event was attended by family and friends of the parents, representatives from the local schools and local agencies. The certificates and gift were presented by Ann Brophy, the manager of CAFTA and Eleanor Mc Clorey C.E.O of Young Ballymun. The parents gave very positive feedback on their experience of the course. One of the parents is going to write a piece on her experience for the web-page. Below are some quotes from the parents who graduated:
“I’d like to thank everyone for all their support, I really enjoyed the programme and I have become a much calmer mother, and was also given the opportunity to meet new people and to continue on to another course”.
“I started the course with an aim to learn a few more skills and become a better parent; I feel I have achieved this. I learned a lot, shared my thought and met some really nice people”.
We would like to thank the staff of BRYR for a lovely spread for the graduation and everyone that attended.
