youngballymun Learning Community Fund

youngballymun has set up a Learning Community Fund of €300,000 to cover the academic years 2009/10, 2010/11, 2011/12. The fund is being administered by the Ballymun Jobs Centre.  To be eligible for funding you must be a resident of Ballymun (Electoral Districts A,B,C, or D) and work or volunteer in local services to children and families across the age range pre birth to early adulthood.

Accredited training courses will be funded that up skill or deepen practice in an area of work likely to contribute to enhanced learning and wellbeing for children and young people in Ballymun. (Non accredited courses may be funded at the discretion of the Fund Management Committee)
The fund can be accessed towards the cost of course fees and supports to participation eg. Child/ Elder care, travel.
